Swamiji during satsang

Question: How can one feel at peace when the world is awash with suffering? How can one feel and accept that all is as it should be?

Swamiji: This world is comprised of the pairs of opposites—pleasure, pain, loss, profit, etc. All persons are not suffering, some are enjoying this world. Within everyone is the Spirit, the Atma, which is Absolute Awareness/Bliss. One has to dive deep within to have the direct experience of the Atma. It is the individual soul which is feeling pain and pleasure.

A common person learns more in suffering. Lord Buddha’s dispassion was based on the suffering of the world. Everyone sees every situation according to one’s own perspective.

Only a human being has the potentiality of having the first-hand experience of the Atma, which is Absolute Life, Absolute Consciousness, and Absolute Bliss. Only a human being can have the direct experience of God. That is why the human life is considered as most precious.

It is in the pure and focused mind that the realization of God happens. Pain and pleasure keep coming and going, they are transitory. But the eternal Essence of Bliss is everlasting.
